What is EZcrete? EZcrete is a specially formulated concrete that will arrive on your job with a 7" - 8" slump for easy placement and superior finishing qualities.
Why use EZcrete? Because EZcrete is a special formula, it has been designed in such a way that the addition of water at the job site is not necessary. It is flowable and the flowability comes from its unique design. The lower than normal water content will reduce shrinkage. When shrinkage is reduced, cracking is reduced!
Does EZcrete have other benefits? Yes. In addition to reducing cracking, placing and finishing qualities are also noticeably improved. Setting times can be controlled or altered depending on job and /or weather conditions and above all, it's labor saving.
What class of concrete is EZcrete? We currently have EZcrete available in EZcrete 25 (2500 psi), EZcrete 30 (3000 psi), EZcrete 35 (3500 psi) and EZcrete 40 (4000 psi).
Is there an additional cost for EZcrete? Yes; however, we will supply EZcrete to you on one job at no additional cost over your base concrete price so that you can experience firsthand, the benefits of EZcrete. EZcrete 30 will add about $0.05 per square foot material cost.
Where can I use EZcrete? Because it is so flowable, driveways with a slope are not a good place to use EZcrete. Since footings and foundations are not troweled, the advantages of the improved finishability would not be realized. However, projects with a slab whether blocked up, turned down or monolithic, are the idea situation to experience the excellent features and benefits of EZcrete.
